New opportunities under the new plan, the seminar on the development planning of inorganic non-metallic materials and the seminar on the construction of Wuzhen laboratory discipline were successfully held

On June 19, sponsored by the School of Materials Science and Technology of Tsinghua University and Tongxiang Municipal People's Government, and jointly organized by Wuzhen Laboratory and Tongxiang Innovation Center of Zhejiang Tsinghua Yangtze River Delta Research Institute, a seminar on the development planning of inorganic non-metallic materials and a seminar on the discipline construction of Wuzhen Laboratory It was successfully held in Tongxiang. The conference invited many well-known professors from Tsinghua University, Nanjing University, Sichuan University, Harbin Institute of Technology, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Northwestern Polytechnical University and Yanshan University, as well as professors from Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Silicic Acid, Chinese Academy of Sciences A number of key researchers from the Institute of Salt Research and the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences attended to study and discuss the establishment of the discipline development direction during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, promote discipline construction and development, and communicate in depth with the Wuzhen Laboratory. Discipline development and construction planning.

Shen Yang, deputy dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Tsinghua University and executive deputy director of the Wuzhen Laboratory Management Committee, presided over the meeting. He reviewed the key contents of the "Research Report on the Development Strategy of Inorganic Nonmetallic Materials (2016-2020)", and combined with the current domestic and foreign frontiers Based on the development situation of materials and engineering, the outline of the "14th Five-Year Plan" for the discipline of inorganic non-metallic materials was put forward. During the conference, the professors brainstormed and discussed together. On the basis of continuing 10 fields (including 8 priority development fields: new energy materials, functional crystals, low-dimensional carbon and two-dimensional materials, new functional materials, advanced structural materials, inorganic Preparation science and technology of non-metallic materials, scientific basis of inorganic non-metallic materials, energy conservation, environmental protection and sustainable development of traditional inorganic non-metallic materials, and two interdisciplinary priority areas: information functional materials and devices, biomedical materials), combined with current Hot issues such as whole-chain-scale material science, "two-carbon strategy", and metamaterials have been further optimized and improved, forming the prototype of the "14th Five-Year Plan" for the discipline of inorganic non-metallic materials.

Deputy Mayor Yuan Jie introduced the basic situation of Tongxiang at the meeting and made a key introduction to the Wuzhen Laboratory. He pointed out that Tongxiang has a superior geographical location, an advanced industrial cluster of hundreds of billions of dollars, an active market entity, and a strong demand for entrepreneurship and innovation. In recent years, the city has continued to build a high-level talent entrepreneurship and innovation platform to attract high-end talents and high-quality projects. Wuzhen Laboratory, a major strategic technology innovation platform for talents and emerging industries, plans to build Wuzhen Laboratory into the strongest booster for Tongxiang's high-quality development during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period.

Afterwards, the participating experts visited the Wuzhen Laboratory, listened to the briefings of the three R&D teams of the Laboratory's New Functional Composite Materials Research Center, Metamaterials Research Center and Advanced Functional Ceramic Materials Research Center, and visited the temporary office space of the Wuzhen Laboratory. In addition, discussions and exchanges were conducted on the construction direction of Wuzhen laboratory materials discipline, and the current situation and development prospects of Wuzhen laboratory were fully affirmed.

The successful holding of this conference will further condense the scientific issues, core ideas and key technologies in the discipline, and is of great significance for promoting the sustainable and steady development of the overall discipline of inorganic non-metallic materials. At the same time, this conference also provides guidance on the development of Wuzhen laboratory disciplines, so as to promote the formation of new local, university and industry cooperation models in the field of cutting-edge materials, and help the development and transformation of Tongxiang materials industry.
